As a freelancer I provided consultancy services for Linux-, Unix- and Oracle for a number of large companies and municipalities in the Netherlands.

I was asked to build an Oracle 11g RAC cluster on an HPE blade chassis for a large telco in the Netherlands. This project was succesfully completed.

I was hired as a senior Linux engineer tasked with system- and network administration of an on-prem infrastructure running Debian Linux machines virtualized on KVM hypervisors.

In 2019 the company built a new warehouse without a facility to host the infrastructure on-prem, which meant the entire infrastructure had to be migrated to the cloud.

Google Cloud was chosen as the cloud provider to host the infrastructure. Due to time pressure, a lift-and-shift methodology was chosen. After succesfully migrating the infrastructure to the cloud, the focus shifted to documentation and standardisation as well as converting legacy applications to cloud native where possible.

Freelance Linux SysOps / DevOps and architecture, with an emphasis on Google Cloud Platform.

Due to my broad skillset, I am currently exploring the field of penetration testing and Red Teaming. I have not yet decided on a specialization in this field.
